Bowl Inn
Bar Club in Ashford, Kent
Ron and Annie are a passionate landlord and landlady with a taste for adventure. With an founded antiques business under their belts they opted for change and surprisingly took over The Bowl Inn at Hastingleigh in October 2004. It didn't take long for their hard work to be recognised as CAMRA have just placed this pub in the Good Beer Guide for the 3rd consecutive year running due to keeping the beers and pub in top condition. They have helped revive the Carnival and Fayre which used to take place in Hastingleigh in the 1950s and have done so for the past four years.

Our passion hasn't gone unnoticed with CAMRA good beer guide recognition from 2007 to 2020. We also won Ashford, Folkestone & Romney Marsh CAMRA pub of the year 2012, 2017, 2018 & 2019, which was lovely news! We were also runners up for Ashford, Folkestone & Romney Marsh CAMRA pub of the year in 2016 and 2020 too, which again was a great accolade to receive!
About Us
read moreOn the North Downs in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), 581 feet above sea level, you will find The Bowl Inn, a 1740's public house serving only the finest local Kentish ales, fine wines and local spirits. The warm fires roar during the winter months and the beautiful beer garden blooms in spring. Delicious homemade sandwiches and ploughman's lunches are served throughout the weekend. Records of an Alehouse on the site of The Bowl Inn date back to the 1700s, with the name first appearing in 1853 when it appears in documents detailing the sale of the pub from Samuel John Sankey to George Ash.
