Doctors & Clinics in Oxford, Oxfordshire Botley Medical Centre serves the Botley area (to the bridge by Westminster Way) Farmoor (to the Toll Bridge at Eynsham) Cumnor, Appleton, Wootton Village, Boars Hill (to Fox Lane) We are a Practice of three GP Partners and one salaried GP contracted to supply services in conjunction with Oxfordshire Primary Care Trust (PCT) Our staff includes a Practice Manager, Practice Nurses, District Nurses, Health Visitors, a Midwife, a Counsellor, a Phlebotomist, a Health Care Assistant, Prescription Administrator, six Receptionists and a Secretary.

We also encourage patients to nominate a pharmacist so that we can send your request electronically, saving paper and reducing the waiting time for you to collect your prescription. Please bring some photo ID with the form as for confidentiality reasons we need to verify we are giving the log in details to the correct person.

read moreMinor Surgery is performed after consultation with the GP. If you require minor surgery inform reception and an appointment will be sent to you for the procedure. Advice is given by all the GPs. Two of the practice nurses can give advice, our Advanced Nurse Practitioner can give advice and prescribe. Patients are charged a fee for services that are not part of the NHS. These include medicals for HGV, insurances, driving competencies, the completion of forms, writing letters that are not referral letters, private letters, .

read moreHome visits are for patients who are infirm and housebound and therefore unable to attend the surgery. Transport to the surgery should be arranged if possible, by a friend, relative or taxi. Patients are requested to come to the surgery for a consultation as full facilities are available for tests and treatment and you will be seen sooner. If you require a home visit, please telephone before 10.30 am. The receptionist will request details regarding the nature of the visit and your name will be put onto a triage list for a doctor to call you back.

read moreWe offer appointment availability for patients who find it difficult to see their doctor or nurse during the usual surgery hours between 8.30am and 6.00pm. Please be aware that the front door may be locked for early morning and evening surgeries, if you have a pre-booked appointment, please press the buzzer and a member of staff will let you in.

The receptionist will check your registration form and take copies of your ID, but will not take your registration if all required information is not provided. Blood pressure readings and height and weight measurements required for the registration can be made at the surgery. In order to find your NHS number and previous named doctor you may need to contact your previous doctors surgery.
