Baby Moments offers an early pregnancy scan to reassure parents who might be worried about their pregnancy during the early stages, perhaps due to previous history, or those who just wish to check if everything is fine.
This scan will confirm the development and dating of the pregnancy, check the heart beat, and show whether it is a single or multiple pregnancy.
You can have an early dating/viability scan from as early as 6 weeks into your pregnancy. Appointments are usually available within a few days of booking, or even sometimes on the same day.
Early pregnancy scans are normally conducted transabdominally (a tummy scan) but in some cases a transvaginal (internal) scan will be indicated, for instance in very early pregnancy, or if the uterus is tilted. The sonographer will be able to advise you which is best for you.
Your sonographer will be able to take measurements of your baby and uterus to confirm your pregnancy dates. During the scan you may be able to see your baby making small movements, which never fails to delight parents to be.
If a problem is detected or suspected with any aspect of your pregnancy at any Baby Moments scan this will be discussed with you straight away. We will advise you of action to take, and information will be provided for you to take back to your health professionals.
All early pregnancy scans are in 2D and will last around 15 minutes for Tummy scan and 20 minutes for the Internal scan. With this package you will receive 2 black and white photos, along with a full report on babys progress. This will be printed for you, along with being presented to you on a USB stick.

read moreWe have so far had two scans at Baby Moments, a viability scan at 9 weeks and a gender scan at 16 weeks. Both visits were such lovely experiences, so different to your usual nhs scans. I would thoroughly recommend paying the extra money to have these scans as you get to spend lots of time looking at your little one and go home with lots of images and a USB of still and moving images. I really hope we get to go back before our little girl arrives. Absolutely can't recommend this place enough

we were allowed to bring as many people as we want with us, the staff are more than welcoming and the atmosphere is soo lovely and relaxed - it reminded me of a spa in the waiting room!
we even got some extra goodies, including some super cute socks with bows!

I was very lucky to win your competition for a free 4D scan today and as I was in town and my mum was visiting we popped in to see if we could be seen on the spot. It was wonderful as staff made an effort to see us and fit us in. The sonographer was very friendly and it was a lovely experience. We managed to get some lovely shots of baby and had a great time. We are located in Central Didcot within the Orchard Centre, with ample free parking (Sainsbury's car park is 2 minutes' walk from us) and easy access from the railway station or by bus. Our sonographers are fully qualified and have many years of experience in obstetric ultrasound. We pride ourselves on our warm and friendly clinic where we will always make time to discuss your pregnancy and answer any questions you might have.
