We gather regularly, with groups and events for all ages, as an active part of our community. An integral part of church life, being part of a small group is as important as Sunday services. With many small groups meeting weekly there are a variety of groups for everyone to find a welcoming group to meet their needs and personality. It's a brilliant way of staying connected and looking out for one another.

read moreThe church exists to follow God's mission plan for the world, principally in making disciples of Jesus Christ - this is the core mission of the church, following the Great Commission of Jesus. It must remain the key focus. Our vision for the church expresses who we ARE in worship, discipleship and mission, in all of life, trusting in God to lead and change us and make us His people. We are called to show God's love, compassion and mercy to the world; to work for the sake of others; to work for peace, justice, restoration, growth, stability, security and so on.

read moreAt ABC, we have a rich history of being missionaries, working locally and overseas. We are already active in mission across all ages, from the very young to the elderly, in the diverse activities of ABC. These include our gathered activities for worship; coming together to hear God's Word, to pray and to share in fellowship; our mid-week groups for discipleship, outreach and prayer; groups and activities which aim to serve our community. We have also had a long-standing commitment to overseas mission.

There are a few events that aren't included in our calendar above as they are specifically for church members (usually just our members meetings). If you're a church member, you can log into MyABC to view these events. Our building is regularly used by people running their own events and meetings which aren't shown in our calendar above.

read morePrayer is of vital importance for everything we do. We regularly pray, in church services, in small groups, at dedicated prayer events and also individually. Feel free to join us at one of our upcoming events specifically focusing on praying together. Twice a month, on the first and third Saturdays, we will eat breakfast from 8:30am till 9:00am, and have a chat via the wonders of modern technology, with video allowing comparison of breakfast preferences! From 9:00am till 9:30am we will pray together.

read moreAll our courses are completely free and open to anyone. It doesn't matter whether you're a Christian or not, or if you attend ABC, another church or no church, everyone is welcome! Big Questions is an opportunity to look at some of life's big questions as we explore them together at Costa Coffee in Ampthill. Everyone who comes gets a free drink and cake to enjoy while listening to a talk where one of these big questions are unpacked, then there's plenty of time to chat with those on your table and share your views.

read moreThe Bible teaches us that 'seniors' are important and valuable to God. For example, it was an 'eighty-something year old' who led Israel out of Egypt, and other elderly people played important roles in God's story. The Bible is full of encouragement to value older people. At ABC caring for the older people, those within the Church and those in the wider community of Ampthill, is regarded as a highly valued and rewarding responsibility. Seniors have a lot to offer us all as they share the wisdom and experiences of life, as well as the time, enthusiasm, and service of their retirement years.
