5 Elements Martial Arts
read moreOne of our favourite things about teaching kids, is that we base the whole martial arts curriculum around them having fun! Discipline, confidence and dedication are important too, of course. But there's nothing better than watching all the kids train whilst having fun. They all definitely deserve some smiles after the year they've had. It feels like ages ago that padwork, sparring and sweating near another teammate wasn't frowned upon. We may be in another lockdown, and the uncertainty of when it will end has us all feeling anxious, but that's why prioritising your health has never been more important.
Childrens Classes
read moreFor the youngest children we teach Mini Elements. This class is for children from 3 to 5 years of age. The aim is to improve your child's coordination and fitness through skills based on martial arts. There is no contact allowed in these classes. The Little Dragons classes start to introduce children to some of the martial aspects of the club, such as fitness, balance, control and basic punches and kicks to introduce the kids to the concept of self defence in a safe and responsible environment.
Boxing
read moreBoxing is excellent training for every one of all ages so if you are inspired to get fit, loose weight or just want to have a great fun workout in a structured class then this is for you. Boxing Training Sessions are a great way to get fit and have fun punching the pads and bags. Although you will do partner drills during classes you will not spar as we recognise that some students do not wish to spar for a number of different reasons. We therefore offer the opportunity to all our boxing students to attend the bag training & Sparring sessions.
MMA Mixed Martial Arts Training
read moreMMA Classes are held on Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings and you can also attend the Bag Training/sparring sessions either in the evening or lunchtimes, just check the timetable. Many students want a comprehensive training session which covers a multitude of fighting styles and also covers the very close range of fighting when someone grabs you, throws you or drags you to the ground. This must be practical and provide a good competitive workout for the student. Also a number of people are attracted to the mixed martial arts after watching various television shows.
