The Wing Chun Kung Fu Academy is operated by Sifu Alan Mynett. Alan began his training in 1990 in the UK and following this UK training Alan pursued his lifelong aim of training in Hong Kong under Grandmaster IP CHING. This training over numerous years resulted in sifu Alan achieving his instructor level, which was personally certified by grandmaster IP CHING. Sifu Alan Mynett has spent many years learning privately from grandmaster IP CHING at his home in Hong Kong, he has learnt the entire system including the pole form luk dim boon qwon and knife form bart jam doe personally from Grandmaster IP CHING.

The wing chun system contains six forms altogether, there are three empty hand forms a wooden dummy form and two weapon sets. It is the foundation of the wing chun system. We need to have a proper understanding of the position and energy application of each and every movement. It is also the basis of which the rest of the wing chun system is built on. It is a practice of the techniques in which we learn to deflect and borrower the opponents incoming force or energy.
