read moreWe provide an emergency service at Wendover Heights from 8.30am until 9.00pm daily. From 9.00pm until 8.30am, we have switched to using a dedicated out of hours provider, Hampden Veterinary Hospital in Aylesbury, who offer emergency overnight cover. Hampden have a team of on-site night vets and nurses and are located in Anchor Lane, Aylesbury, HP20 1AJ, near to the town centre. Hampden can be contacted on 01296 423666 and for further information, you can visit their website. Veterinary Services
read moreWe believe that nutrition is an important part of keeping pets healthy and can also play a vital part in the treatment of some illnesses. This is why we stock a select range of cat and dog pet food in practice, helping to take the faff out of pet food for our clients by recommending diets that have been scientifically created to provide optimal nutrition, which tastes great! Explore the guide to pet nutrition to discover the truth behind current trending diets and what your pet really needs for a balanced diet, or contact us to book in for a nutrition consultation with a member of the team.
Hydrotherapy Services
read moreAnother of our facilities is our Canine Hydrotherapy Unit; this is a purpose-built unit housing an aquatic treadmill to provide the latest technology for canine rehabilitation, pre- and post-operative conditioning, general fitness training and weight loss. Hydrotherapy involves the use of therapeutic exercise in warm water - a combination of warmth, buoyancy and hydrostatic pressure reduces pain and swelling, promotes muscle relaxation and improves circulation and healing. Exercising in water is effective in increasing proprioception, muscular and cardio-respiratory endurance, range of motion of the joints, general mobility and psychological well-being.
Pet Advice
read moreUnlike in human hospitals we are not permitted by law to collect and store blood supplies for animal use. Severe sudden blood loss can be life threatening and a blood transfusion could be the only way to save a dog's life. We are therefore dependent on the help of willing volunteers who can come in at short notice and allow us to collect blood from their dog for transfusion. If your dog meets these criteria and you would be willing for your pet to provide a lifeline for a fellow dog in need, please let us know.
