Walton temperature control systems are used wherever fluid temperature control is vital - in industrial, power generation and marine applications. The accurate temperature control they supply plays a significant role in reducing both operating and maintenance costs. The systems have earned a reputation for reliability, robust operation and minimal maintenance needs, based on sound engineering and proven design. The UK's Royal Navy and other navies have relied on Walton systems for over forty years, and many of the original valves are still operational.

About Us
read moreEstablished in 1942, Walton Engineering has been designing and manufacturing temperature control systems for more than 60 years. These systems are sold world-wide, and our direct operated range of valves is also manufactured in Japan. Production began with valves powered by simple bi-metal coils which were originally installed on diesel engines for rail locomotives. The bi-metal coil was later replaced by a fixed range wax element incorporated into a mechanism within the valve body, the position of the valve's rotor being determined by the expansion of the wax element.

Indeed, we know of valves that are still providing accurate temperature control after 20 years of service! Sometimes, however, there are occasions when the plant on which the equipment is installed needs to be overhauled, and this may provide an opportunity to refurbish the temperature control valve. To this end, Walton offers a full repair and refurbishment service for life-extension of customers' Walton-supplied products.
