The Wallis family began the business in 1965 at Gillygate, York. The business still maintains a family presence and retains all the values associated with family concern. In 1990 the Malton branch was founded by way of takeover of AM Stationers and the 12, 000 square foot distribution centre was founded on the Clifton Moor Trading Estate in York, the perfect site for trading to all areas of Yorkshire, this being the Wallis head office. The year of 1996 saw further developments, with the takeover of White Rose Computer Supplies, thus enabling Wallis to provide the ever-increasing computer provides market.
