What VOOT stands for, and has always stood for, is complete honesty and an ethical approach to businesses telephone needs. Usually reserved for Sole Traders, small businesses and similar, this is a perfect way for business to give that impression they are well established by providing a standard telephone number for business stationery, websites etc - and means that as their business grows they aren't going to need new numbers when they expand into offices. Additionally many businesses may wish to take several of these numbers - allowing the impression of a national presence when the base is just one building.
