The orchestras and bands in this brochure are all operated by the United Services Organisation - better known as the U S O. The firm was began some 12 years ago by orchestrator/conductor Greg Francis directly following him delivering a young orchestra for the Lord (David) Puttnam film Memphis Belle. With some encouragement from Lord Puttnam and Warner Films, it was decided to keep this new exciting young orchestra together after the film release as a working orchestra.

Initially, the hire will be limited to our Sinatra/Dean Martin/Sammy Davis stock. This means that we are offering a full range of music suitable for any RAT PACK style of show. The arrangements we are offering for hire, are not the usual stock arrangements which everyone else uses. Most of the stock arrangements are wrong, and many of them have been written to ‘work' with any combination of players, which invariably means they sound bad!
