The pub has a good reputation for excellent food, all prepared and cooked on the premises and using, wherever possible, local ingredients. The venison is from Haldon, and all other meats are sourced from Oinkers Farm Shop. There is a separate dining room for more intimate entertaining and reservations are advisable. Beer has been a hobby of Tony the landlord for many a year, and he has an extraordinary experience of the subject. Branscombe Branoc is always available on the bar with 4 other real ales available, mainly from Devon, Cornwall, Dorset or Somerset.

We are literally 10 minutes from the centre of Exeter despite our rural location and offer much more welcoming accommodation than your average generic travel inn. There are three rooms available, two doubles and one twin. Each room is en suite and has a TV and tea/coffee making facilities. Our premier room also boasts a rather unique four poster bed which has become a firm favourite with regular visitors.
