I recently had a photography session with Scott to capture my surprise engagement, and I couldnt be happier with the experience! From the moment we arrived, (post surprise which was perfect) Scott was welcoming and made us feel completely at ease, especially since we hadnt done a photoshoot like this before.

The planning process was easy and straightforward, which really helped to set everything up perfectly for the surprise. The photos turned out fantastic and we had a lot of options to choose from, featuring various poses and beautiful landscapes. They were available very promptly which meant we should share with friends and family straight away. Scott was also very accommodating, allowing me ample time to plan everything to ensure the surprise went off without a hitch.

I highly recommend for any photography needs the entire process seamless and memorable!

Had a lovely experience with Chantal and Scott. We had a newborn photoshoot and baby was 2 weeks overdue so they were accommodating in changing dates and even location when asked. They made sure we felt comfortable throughout the process. We had to reschedule a couple of times but they remained flexible and honest throughout. The photoshoot was a lovely experience and I cant recommend them enough. I love the pictures and so happy that I have something to lovely to remember my babys newborn days by! If in doubt, do the newborn shoot!

We have just recently had Scott come to my daughter & son- in - laws house to take our Christmas photoshoot now that we have 2 lovely granddaughters.

I love asking Chantal and Scott to photograph our small family every year. They took our gorgeous newborn photos and I've asked them to capture special moments every year since. Photos with twins is always chaotic but Chantal always captures such lovely moments. Already looking forward to seeing next years pictures!!

Scott is incredibly talented, kind, and sincere. I reached out to him on fairly short notice as I concocted a surprise proposal photo shoot on the Streets of Edinburgh. As my fiancee and I were travelling, our window for said shoot was fairly small, but Scott's dedication and expertise was not - after we settled on a general area, Scott helped plan and detail the exact location. He arrived ahead of schedule and was in perfect position to capture the moment (even though I may have anxiously rushed the proposal due to nerves). Scott didn't miss a beat. My fiancee and I were both understandably nervous, but Scott immediately put us at ease, guiding us in both action and multiple settings. We quickly felt that we were with an old friend, not just a hired photographer. I cannot say enough about the photos - with only 30 minutes on short notice, Scott directed us in multiple settings with multiple poses in each one - he even politely held back a crowd of tourists to capture the best shots. The photos, which we received much sooner than we expected, are everything we hoped for - natural, honest, and beautiful - I'm not sure if it was the camera he chose or how he developed them, but everyone says they look like they came out of a fairy tale because of how beautifully light and airy they seem. My fiancee and I reside in the states, but for anyone looking to hire an excellent photographer in Edinburgh or Glasgow, we could not recommend Scott any more highly!

Scott photographed our whole family at Dumfries House where we celebrated our golden wedding anniversary. I have to say Scott was fantastic from the first day I made contact until we received our fabulous photos a day after the event. He was just great at putting us all at ease and captured our grandchildren informally beautifully.

We cannot rave about The Gibsons Photography enough! Their pictures are absolutely beautiful. They managed to capture all of the love and happiness that was shared on our wedding day. Not to mention, they are fantastic organisers! They kept us in line with our schedule all day without missing a second of pictures. Would recommend them to anyone and everyone in need of photographers!

We got in touch with the Gibsons quite late in the game to see if they could organise a newborn shoot for our daughter. They responded asap and were super accommodating, managing to schedule us in with just a couple months' notice, working around the early arrival of our baby girl. They were super friendly both via email and in-person and we had a wonderful time during our photoshoot. Immediately, Chantal and Scott put the whole family (including baby, grandparents and two cats) at ease. They captured so many special moments and we couldn't be happier with our photos! We will definitely be getting in touch again as our daughter grows. We can't recommend the Gibsons enough!

We have asked Chantal and Scott to come to our home to photograph our family for 6 years now. They are always incredibly warm and friendly, our boys always look forward to seeing them again and its become a favourite yearly tradition. They capture beautiful candids that show us relaxed and at ease, which I treasure as a way to watch our boys grow. Well be asking them to come back for years to come!

Scott and Chantal are so lovely and were fantastic when they came to shoot our newborn Brodie at home when he was two weeks old. It was relaxed and there was no pressure when we had to pause to feed him etc, we had a great chat and they got some great photos including this one which is a firm favourite with all of our family and friends! Would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone and hope to have them shoot us all again in the future

The Gibsons did the most amazing job of capturing our wedding day - we love our pictures so much and are delighted that these are the memories we are left with. Both Chantal and Scott made us, our families and all of our guests feel totally at ease on the day and were so helpful and efficient in the run up to the wedding and in getting our gallery over to us afterwards. We couldn't have asked for more!

From start to finish Scott and Chantal (Gibson Photography) made the whole process so smooth and seamless and dont get us started on the final result of our photoshoot; the pictures were incredible! From the super helpful and quick response emails prior to our session, to their utmost professionalism and making my partner and I feel at ease on the day of our shoot (we were super nervous as wed never had photos taken before). Thank you so much to the photographer dream team for making the most awkward pair feel super comfortable and giving us photo memories to last a lifetime. Would highly recommend!

Scott and Chantal have captured photos for our engagement, wedding and most recently a family session with our one year old and we couldnt recommend them more!
Each photo session has been fun and relaxed, they really make you feel at ease in front of the camera. Scott and Chantal even introduced themselves and played with our one year old so she was comfortable when they started taking photos - this really shines through in the final pictures.
From initial enquiry to receiving the final gallery, communication is clear and timely.
They are really lovely people who take really lovely photos!

In the lead up we had to change our venue a couple of times due to the pandemic, they were helpful in recommending new venues and have been really good at communicating throughout.
On our day they were both a lovely presence and kept us at ease and having fun the whole time. Scott even helped the boys with some of their kilt accessories and where they should place them.
They were also great with guests and keeping them right for group shots.
We recently received our gallery and are absolutely IN LOVE, we've watched our slideshow hundreds of times already - cannot get enough of them.

We booked The Gibsons for our wedding in June 21 and would rebook them again in a heartbeat! Not only are they both incredibly talented photographers but really lovely people too. They have such a beautiful 'natural' style of photography and captured our wedding day exactly as it unfolded. Both Scott and Chantal were a joy to be around on the day - it felt as though our friends were photographing us - there was no awkwardness and believe me when I say, they know how to make you look good! We have had so many compliments from our friends and family on both the beautiful photographs and just how unobtrusive Scott and Chantal were on the day. Chantal and Scott were terrific from the moment we emailed them for further information to receiving our photos. They were always very responsive, asked great questions to best understand our expectations, they arrived early on our big day, and were really fun to work with. Chantal and Scott's really work as a dynamic duo to maximize the aesthetics of the couple and photos. They are very professional while still making the experience personalized and joyful. The perfect photographers! We spent a lot of time researching our photographers as your photos are such an important way to relive your wedding. From the very beginning Chantal and Scott were fabulous. The communication and planning was very well organised meaning that everything ran smoothly on the day and we didn't have to worry about missing any special shots that we wanted. We could just relax and enjoy our day and trust them to capture all of the special moments. Scott and Chantal were both so warm that, although we had not had the chance to meet them prior to the wedding, they were just like having extra guests! Our couples photo session was one of our favourite parts of the day with lots of love and laughs. The day after the wedding they had edited a selection of pictures that we had access to straight away which was fantastic. We could not be happier with our beautiful wedding photos and can highly recommend The Gibsons to anyone!
