Avoid at all costs!

We booked our floors to be sanded with this company as we were due to be out of the country so it fitted in nicely with timings. I chatted with Alan about what we needed doing plus a couple of repairs on and off via text/calls, he came out to see the job and said yep no problem, it'll take us half a day and gave me the quote, we proceeded to book the date for the job and off he went. He kept in contact up to the date of the job so I thought everything was fine - until the day arrives!! We empty the whole house of furniture and off we go to the airport. Only to receive a phone call from Alans partner Graham (incredibly rude man) to say - Yeh we've been to the property and we're not doing the job!!! He gave me some lame excuses of payment not being made & more repairs needing than he thought. Both to which were absolute rubbish....Firstly I was NOT asked for any money upfront and secondly since then a Reputable company has completed the job without more repairs being needed.
Our thoughts are...They obviously got a bigger job come up and decided to let us down at the VERY last minute....Completely unprofessional and RUDE! We will be letting as many people as possible know about the unreliability of this shocking company and their lack of customer skills!!
