The Christian Centre is growing church with a huge vision for the Middlesbrough. We currently have a long history in the suburbs, but in 2006 we moved the main Sunday meetings to the Town Centre. A classic Christian clich says that Church is people not a building. We're trying to develop a people; a group for others to join; somewhere, where people are resourced & equipped. The Christian Centre is a member of The Evangelical Alliance and The Apostolic Church UK. We were established in 1919 in Middlesbrough centre near the current University.

What We Believe

read moreFirst and foremost we believe in Jesus. We believe that He is part of the Godhead and came to earth both fully man and fully God. He sacrificed his own life so that we can live in right standing with God through forgiveness of our sins. This forgiveness is offered as a free gift to all who choose to accept it through grace.

Bible Study

read moreWe hold a weekly bible study every Sunday morning before our weekly service. The study is a great way to start Sunday in God's word together. During each study we take a deeper look at what the Bible has to say and how it applies to us, we're currently working through the New Testament together.

Baptism

read moreWe follow the teaching of Jesus and practice full immersion water baptism, which means everyone baptised with us is in for a full body dunking! Baptism is a statement to the world of a change that has happened on the inside of you. Water baptism symbolises the death of who you used to be before knowing Jesus by going down into the water, and your re-birth into your new life with Jesus coming back out of the water. If you feel you're ready to be baptised, we hold baptism services at different points throughout the year.
