Stan Robinson ( Stafford ) Ltd has been at the forefront of road haulage innovation with the development of the Road-Train. A 530 bhp Scania Topliner tractor has been used to aid promote its 33. 5 metre and 84 tonne road train project. Stan believes the law should be changed so that trucks this size can run on UK motorways and selected trunk roads. The new 12-axle rig is a double-bottom, comprising the Scania tractor-unit towing an adapted semi-trailer that has airlines to the rear trailer and a facility for towing the dolly.
