About Us
read moreWe are a vibrant and growing Christian community of all ages, meeting every Sunday in Elmdon Park, Solihull. We aim to be Bible-focused, Jesus-centred and Spirit-led in everything. If you find anything here that doesn't sit comfortably under these 'hats', please tell us so we can change it! We are currently applying to something called the Consistory Court for permission to dispose of a large 1970s reading desk. We haven't used it since we modernised a few years ago, and we don't think it is safe either.
Baptisms
read moreWe love to baptise people in Elmdon Church, whether it's someone who's come to faith in Jesus Christ or the babies and younger children of Christian families. All our baptisms are conducted in the main Sunday service, usually on the fourth Sunday of the month, beginning at 10.30am. These services last just under an hour. The Bible is clear that people who trust Jesus as Saviour and Lord should repent and be baptised, while it would be wrong to baptise those who haven't yet accepted the good news.
Services
read moreOur morning services are relaxed and informal. We read, pray, sing and draw closer in love. Sometimes we laugh, occasionally we cry; but in everything God helps us become more like Jesus himself, and to serve him better in every part of our lives. After long deliberation and prayer, and in view of the soaring infection rates in Solihull, we have decided to suspend services in person until the current lockdown lifts. Our location in Elmdon Park and our Grade II-listed status make our building the perfect place for services to mark significant life events: thanksgivings for the birth of a child, weddings and funerals.
