St James Antiques

St James Antiques is a family run and operated business situated in a Listed Building in the Freeman Street shopping area of Grimsby. Joseph Penna, the founder of the business, began work at the age of 15 Articled to a pawnbroker in his home town of Hull and today still offers this service to his clients. Following his National Service the pawnbroker in Hull had reduced in size and there were no jobs available to Joseph. After a number of years in the ice cream and furniture trade in 1985 it was time to return to the antiques trade.
