Acoustic Options
read moreSome applications such as school classrooms, lecture halls, recording studios and communal areas in apartments, have specific requirements for sound reduction. For any project requiring acoustic ratings, we offer a range of door and frame seal options to meet the requirements of Approved Document E (the part of building regulations covering ‘resistance to the passage of sound'). Acoustic performance requires the correct combination of door elements (e.g., cores, seals and ironmongery) and best practice during on-site installation.
Extra Care
read moreThrough experience gained over 25 years, MBP have developed partnerships with care home contractors who are constructing nationally throughout the public and private sectors. MBP have developed a wide range of PAS 23/24 Secure By Design (SBD) front entrance doorsets that exceed the necessary acoustic and fire safety ratings needed for Building Regulations documents B and E. To complement this offer, matching doors (with or without fire rating) are also available for apartments and communal areas, complete with Certifire-approved vision panel apertures.

Door Size
read morePlease enter the door width size for the required clear effective opening and follow the below steps. 1) Enter the overall tolerance for your doorset (i.e., a fire rated single door would have a gap of 3mm between the door & frame each side, so 6mm overall all). 3) Enter the stop/ rebate size on the frame (i.e., if you've got a 32mm x 12mm stop, enter 12). 5 Enter the handle projection size from the face of the door. Please note: If the door opens past 90 degrees or the door is for a dwelling, then handle size is not relevant.
