Would recommend without hesitation. Needed non-reflective glass and frame for a prized poster (an iconic Nike basketball ad from the 80s) because it's in the background when I'm on Teams. What impressed me the most was the way that Sam laid out the various options, genuinely without any commercial agenda. And after the decision, the job was done quickly, to a high standard and without any surprises on the bill. Couldn't have asked for more, and (echoing other experiences on here) an absolute delight to deal with.

My wife and I want to give the highest praise to Sam and his company for honesty, integrity and best practice. We were delighted to receive excellent service and full attention to our wishes when we first met Sam with a canvas which we wanted framed. We happily agreed how the work would be done and an appropriate price. Sam contacted us when the framed picture was ready for collection and told us that, unfortunately, the result was not perfect because a tiny piece of glue had somehow found its way onto the canvas. Had Sam not told us this it is almost 100% certain that we would never have noticed that there was any problem.
Indeed Sam had shown the picture to others who could not spot it. Only when Sam pointed it out to one of us on collection did the small defect become apparent and his honesty about this deserves the highest praise. He most generously altered the agreed price in terms that are highly favourable to us. The pitcure now hangs in our house and it is likely that the tiny defect will never be spotted, even by art experts. To all any and any who fear they might be "ripped off" by a dodgy picture framer, we say go to SE1 Picture Frames and ask for Sam.

Certainly not the swiftest or most inexpensive framing store in town, but WOW, these guys are true artisans. I had a US insert film poster framed here and the finished result is extraordinary- a frame that's a work of art in it's own right! Additionally, only the best conservation and/ or museum grade materials are used.
