Almost One Hundred and Twenty years ago, in 1887, SAMUEL DAVID BELL established the company of S. D. Bell & Co Ltd. On the corner site of Church Lane and Ann Street, Belfast. Coffee and tea speedily became the mainstays of the Business, and by 1927 the Firm had expanded into bigger premises on the corner of Ann Street and Victoria Street. S. D. BELL'S name and reputation flourished during the 1st half of the 20th century, and speedily became synonymous with the finest coffee and tea available, while the wonderful aroma of freshly roasted coffee permeated Belfast's streets.

Michelle shines brightly! Her warm service at both St George’s Market and the Causeway Market in Coleraine is exceptional. She greets customers with a smile and makes everyone feel welcome. During my visit last Saturday, I enjoyed a cup of tea and couldn't resist purchasing four gorgeous mugs. Michelle embodies a genuine Northern Irish hospitality and is a fantastic ambassador for the brand. Well done, Michelle!

I purchased a bag of Barista No.6 last week, and it was shipped promptly. However, upon arrival, I noticed that it was not quite right. I contacted them to provide feedback. The next day, without any prompting, another bag was delivered by courier. I'm pleased to say that the new bag was absolutely perfect. You can't ask for better service than that!

During August’s Eat Out to Help Out Scheme, I have gone to different restaurants and cafes. Top spot goes to SD Bell’s, not only for the food and drink, which is great value, but because I genuinely feel like they are taking my health, and the health of their staff, seriously during this pandemic. There have been some places I have visited and social distancing doesn’t seem to be a priority but where Bell’s cannot make space, they have gone to the expense of Perspex. The staff wear masks/visors and they clearly make a great effort to clean down tables/seats after each use. Hats off to the staff in Bell‘s for all their hard work and consideration to every person who comes over their door!
