We booked a 3-days tour with Scottish Guided Tours for our family, and everything was perfect. We couldn't be more pleased with our experience. Michael showed us magical and beautiful places and shared many anecdotes about Scottish history. He was very attentive and perfectly adapted to the group. The vehicle was very comfortable, and we were able to enjoy the scenery without having to worry about driving. In 3 days, we were able to discover a very wide variety of landscapes and regions of Scotland.
In short, a wonderful experience, with sensational discoveries that we recommend without hesitation!

I went on a 5 night tour of the Highlands and the Isle of Skye with a group of college friends. Hiring Scottish Guided Tours was the best decision we made. Alan was a super star. He is a fountain of knowledge (with plenty of humor and sass as well). Alan really listened to us (our likes, dislikes, hopes, dreams) and catered to our tastes. He took us to the most magnificent places. I am already looking forward to my next trip to Scotland and will 1000% hire this team again.

We spent an excellent day with Stuart, who picked us up from Edinburgh, and we drove to the Highlands. Stuart was amazing. With his charming demeanor, degree in history, and well-rounded knowledge about pop culture around Scotland, we had a fantastic time. Stuart was able to accommodate all of our requests, such as feeding the Highland Coos (he brought carrots for us) and doing high-end shopping to find luxury Scottish goods. Furthermore, he created an excellent soundtrack during the drive to spotlight the scenery. Would definitely recommend Scottish Guided Tours AND Stuart for a guide. Thank you for making my trip so memorable.

We spent the most incredible 5 days with Alan from Scottish Guided Tours. From start to finish we agreed it was the best holiday we've ever had. We were a group of seven friends that wanted a customised itinerary...the guidance we gave Niall from SGT to plan was enjoyable walks, experiencing nature, not being rushed, and skip the distilleries (been there, done that already). They created an unforgettable experience for us that was completely customised. Every detail was taken care of, even down to dinner bookings, so all we had to do was sort our accommodation. Highlights included the Old Man of Storr, our picnic in the Cuillin mountains after taking a boat trip on the Bella Jane, and dinner at Marmalade in Skye. But everything was incredible and we can't wait to return! Alan quickly became a pal. He is such an expert...he never made us feel rushed but he also ensured we fully experienced all Skye had to offer. We were all sad when it was time to say goodbye! The trip worked out at 500pp for all itinerary planning, transportation, and Alan's time/local guide knowledge throughout. It was well worth it. We would not have had anywhere near the same experience without SGT's expertise and their handling of all of the logistics. It made the trip so much more relaxed and immersive. HIGHLY recommend! My family and I enjoyed a privately guided, full days trip to Lochness from Edinburgh and it was fantastic! Our guide Gary was extremely friendly, knowledgeable and an excellent driver. 10/10 jokes. He gave us plenty of options to cater to the needs of the children on our trip. We left at 8:00am from our hotel and returned at 8:30pm with unbelievable photos of the Highlands. Highly recommend Gary, and this tour group.

We had a fantastic experience with Scottish Guided Tours over two full-day private tours. Our guide, Stuart, was incredibly knowledgeable and easy to be aroundhe shared so much insight into the places we visited and tailored the experience to fit our familys pace. The logistics were smooth, the stops were well-chosen, and everything felt thoughtful and well-organized. Highly recommend for anyone looking to explore Scotland with a great guide.

Our family of four is currently at the Inverness airport on our flight home and were already missing our guide, Andrew McIntyre, and the beautiful Scottish Highlands! The past 5 days in the Highlands, namely Inverness and the Isle of Skye, will truly go down as a trip to remember: be it the gorgeous scenery, Andrews extensive knowledge of Scottish history and myths that made the sights come alive, and of course, the whisky with a view!! Thank you so much to Scottish Guided Tours for being so accommodating, and helping us bring to life the private tour of our dreams! Big shoutout to Andrew as well for bringing so much joy, laughter and awe to our Highlands experience!

Just completed a 5 day family holiday thru the Scottish Highlands with this fantastic company. Scottish Guided Tours jumped into action when part of our group's flight was delayed. They started the tour anyway but kept in touch with our family, even picking them up and driving them to our location. This was above and beyond and made a stressful situation less so.
From planning to the actual tour this company was professional and helpful. We had a fun relationship with our guide Michael who had lots of great history to relay along with humour and kindness. Great experience all around.

Our tour with Scottish Guided Tours was wonderful and we were very impressed with Alan's knowledge and quick wit. He kept us informed and entertained the entire time. Alan seemed to know everyone in Scotland which was an added benefit because we knew no one. We are already talking about a future trip. If we are lucky enough to return to Scotland, we will definitely be contacting Scottish Guided Tours for another adventure. Highly recommend.

As a huge Outlander fan I had been wanting to tour the filming sites for so long and after much research I decided on Scottish guided tours to do so. Their itinerary was the most inclusive I could find. Working with Kylie to get everything set up was so easy. She always answered my questions in a timely matter and was able to add on one additional stop I wanted to make with no problem. I waited for the day to arrive with much anticipation and Colin our guide was everything and more. Not only did he pick us up at our hotel, but he dropped us off on the Royal mile for our dinner reservation. Colin was very personable, easy to talk to and we got along great. It was a fun day. He also knows so much Scotland history that he shared with us throughout the day. He never seemed rushed even though on a schedule and allowed me enough time at each location to take as many photos as I wanted and to shop in the gift shops. The day couldn't have been any better and I am very grateful to Colin and Scottish guided tours for making the day more than I ever imagined! If I'm ever in Scotland again, which I sure hope to be, I will definitely be reaching out to them for other tours! Thank you for the best day ever!

We spent a marvelous day being guided by Stewart. Our wish was to walk in Glenco, which we did--and much more. Stewart is an enthusiastic student of Scottish history, and we learned a lot which enriched the experience of exploring the Highlands. He made sure that our tour was memorable--and his high spirits and music attuned to each leg of the tour were big pluses!

We had a family trip to Scotland for the very first time, and about half of us wanted to go on a bus tour to see some castles etc, and check out The Hermitage forest.

Stuart was absolutely incredible. He has a great energy and was telling us about the history of the areas we were at, the castles we visited (Stirling Castle is a must!!! We also visited Doune castle which was of interest for Monty Python and Outlander reasons ;) ). He dropped us at a nice restaurant where we had a great little lunch, then were off again! The whole thing felt relaxed and exciting - Stuart was happy to make adjustments and changes on the go and was just awesome.

He was full of stories, made what seemed to be a music list for the tour, and told some hilariously terrible jokes. It was an unforgettable tour and I would absolutely recommend him to tour around the Perthshire area (or anywhere else, honestly)

Our 1 day Outlander Adventure tour was fantastic and everything we had expected and then some. There was 5 of us on the tour and we had a private van that was very comfortable. Our tour guide Alan picked us up early and we never felt rushed on our trip. We visited Midhope Castle - Lallybrock, Blackness Castle, Culross Village, Standing Stones, Falkland Village, and Doune Castle - Castle Leoch. Alan even went out of his way to show us a herd of Hairy Coos - Scottish cows. Alan was so knowlegdable, told us about the history of Scotland and insights on the filming of Outlander. When we stopped at the Culross Village, he suggested we have lunch at Bessie's Cafe which was a perfect lunch. Niall who we corresponded with, answered all our questions in a timely fashion. We will definitely use Scottish Guided Tours again when we return to Scotland. Alan was fantastic and I would highly recommend you ask for him! Thank you for a great tour.

We cannot say enough good things about Alan, our guide during our time in Scotland. From start to finish, he was absolutely incredible. His depth of knowledge about Scotlands history, culture, and hidden gems was beyond impressive, making every stop on our journey both enriching and unforgettable.

I can't speak highly enough of Scottish Guided Tours!

My sister and I went on a 4 day private tour of The Highlands and Isle of Skye this past August with our guide, Niall, who was incredible! After finding out what we were hoping to get out of the trip, Niall went out of his way to make it an unforgettable experience. Scotland is gorgeous to begin with, but Niall really made it come alive with his historical knowledge and positive energy. Because it was a private tour, we were all able to get to know each other better and it really felt like we were traveling with a friend, who knew all the best stops!

Also, we had a special request that was personal to our trip and Niall went out of his way to help us find what we were looking for. It was extremely special for us and something we will never forget. Niall, we can't thank you enough for being so kind and thoughtful. You provided just what our hearts needed.

If you really want to experience the magic of Scotland, no one can give you that like Scottish Guided Tours!

We just had the most incredible tour of the beautiful Scottish Highlands and Isle of Skye with Alan. The entire process was easy and seamless-we emailed Niall, told him what wed like to see, and he created an awesome itinerary that allowed us to sit back, relax, and enjoy this amazing country. Not only was Alan hilarious, but hes also an historian-we learned so much and had a great time. . Highly recommend!

We booked 2 tours with Scottish Guided Tours and couldnt be more pleased with our experience. Niall created a wonderful tour for us including Stirling castle, a distillery and the lowlands complete with a hairy coo for my daughter! He catered to my familys special needs and was very knowledgeable about everything Scottish. The next day we traveled to St.Andrews with Mike and had a great time exploring. He was very accommodating for my disabled mom and even stopped at a pharmacy for her to pickup some allergy medicine. Both days had a little bit of everything for each of my family members. My husband and I cant wait to come back and explore the highlands and would absolutely use Scottish Guided Tours again in a heartbeat.

A locally owned tour company that goes above and beyond to make your Scotland trip unforgettable. Niall and Andrew are great and made all our dreams come true and even more with stops at hidden gems and spots that we could never have found ourselves. We rode in comfort and had the best Sausage roll in the highlands! We will never forget this trip and its all thanks to Scottish guided tours!

Exceptional Outlander Tour

I coordinated with Niall to plan an Outlander tour for six friends. He did a positively magnificent job. We saw all filming sites (a couple were closed due to next season active filming, and he juggled our tour days so that we got to see all the sites possible). Once he discovered we were all needleworkers, he arranged for a special presentation on the tapestries at Stirling Castle. He proactively (and unbeknownst to me) researched a house related to an antique embroidery I own so that we could go see it and speak to the owner. Best of all, when we arrived at Craig Na Dun on World Outlander Day, he had set up for a well known bagpiper (Spud the Piper) to play for us while he served us a wee dram of Sam Heughans Sassenach Whisky that he had procured for the occasion. Niall took our group to all the series locations typically covered in Outlander tours plus more, and many historic sites as well. Niall has a great knowledge of Scottish history and a wonderful sense of humor. He booked delicious restaurants for our meals. He accommodated easily our unexpected needs (suitcase replacement, cold medicine purchase). And he followed up with us daily after the tour when two of us contracted Covid and couldnt fly home, researching local quarantine requirements and helping us arrange other activities. I cant recommend Niall highly enough.
