Queen Elizabeth Sixth Form College was inspected by Ofsted in October 2007. The report, published in November 2007, confirms that QE is a centre of excellence and is one of the country's leading colleges. The inspectors focused on five key areas - effectiveness of provision, capacity to improve, achievement and standards, quality of provision, leadership and management - and they concluded that the College was outstanding in all kinds of its work. Hence the top grade - grade 1 - was awarded across the board.

read moreEach year the College has a large number of students whose performance at advanced level is exceptionally good. Details are published in a booklet which is distributed at our open evenings. These tables summarise the numbers of students gaining two A*/A grades or better in this year's public examinations at Advanced Level. The College runs a one year post A Level course for students who wish to go on to study Art at university. In 2019/2020 there were 19 students who all gained distinctions or merits.
