We had quite a several local players making their debut in tournament play, and numbers were swelled by a nice contingent from Croydon DG Club. In the Open division Derek Robins found some putting form and was very cheerful to win with rounds of 51 and 50 in windy conditions. In the Advanced Amateur division, Richard Hatton's approach play helped him to victory over Richard Wood. In the Intermediate Amateur division Ben Foxall ha da very strong 2nd round of 61 to take the honours.

read moreIn response to the end of national lockdown, the introduction of the tier system and the limited daylight hours, we are excited to announce that Quarry Park will be starting up Night Golf for those that are eager to play on into the night! It will take place on Tuesday and Saturday evenings and we are looking to begin on Tuesday, 15th December at 7:30 pm. Although there will be no fixed cut-off time to your play, we ask that you please arrive between 7:30 pm - 8:30 pm as it will help ensure the event is better-managed while also allowing it to end at a reasonable time.

Playing with other people, you get all that plus banter, friendships and some competition. The social side is something I really want to grow at Quarry Park. There is a Quarry Park Disc Golf facebook page where I post news. There is also a Quarry Park Disc Golf group where any member of the group can make posts. If you want to see if there are other players to meet up with for a round, then this is the best place to ask.
