Set up in 1934, we're a family operated business with the most of plants grown here on our nursery. We stock an extensive array of plants, including one of the biggest selections of herbaceous perennials and alpines in the U. K. All our team have plenty of horticultural experience and are therefore fully equipped to supply our clients with helpful advice if needed. We're located on the Cheshire/Manchester border, exactly 1mi from Manchester Airport. Our Orchard Coffee Shop is open daily, serving snacks and light meals!

read moreAfter 83 years at our previous site, we were delighted to move in Autumn 2017 to our new nursery in the beautiful village of Styal and become part of the thriving local community. Many of the plants we sell are grown on site, and the remainder are sourced from our network of excellent specialist growers. We remain one of the last few independent retail nurseries in the area, and being growers ourselves can freely advise customers if required. Despite the traditional nature of our business, our plant range is bang up to date.
