There is a common misconception that Methodists hold different beliefs to Baptists and them to Catholics and them to the Church of England. The truth is that whilst we each have different traditions and histories, and today have different ways to worship and live; our fundamental faith remains the same, and shared. We all believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that he came to earth; suffered for our sins, and died on the cross. So we trust that through faith in him we can be forgiven everything we currently have done wrong and earn eternal life with him.

While we do have a church building that forms the hub of our gatherings and activities as a Christian community, we do not identify ourselves as a building, but as a community of faith, bound together in the love God has shown us in Christ Jesus.
About Us
read moreWe are a friendly, family centred church, and although the congregation is aging we have active youth groups attached to the church (Boys Brigade, Guides). We are also involved with local community groups including local authority and police in promoting a youth forum and community youth group both of which meet in out church. As well as an active sunday school which caters for all ages, we have many other groups. We have been on this site for over 100 years. We first formed in a smaller building on this site when it was still surounded by fields.
