Pavers Ltd, set up in York 1971 by Catherine Paver. Cathie had always found shopping for shoes difficult because she could never find what she wanted without trouble over the fitting. Therefore Cathie, with the aid of her family, opened her own shoe shop in Scarborough. This proved to be a great success and soon similar shops followed in York, Hull and Newcastle. Pavers continued to open High Street shops throughout the North and in 1996 they opened their 1st Outlet store in North Shields, although discount footwear retailers had been around for years, few provided the brands which Pavers Outlet stocked. This formula proved to be a great success and again many more followed.

Still really pleased with them - quality etc. Wish they were made in UK but at least it's Italy and not China!
