Veterinarians in Watford, Hertfordshire
Veterinarians in Watford, Hertfordshire Several of you may know that we've been vigorously campaigning against proposals to include the area around our Cassiobury Drive surgery in a Controlled Parking Zone which would involve permit parking and Pay and Display bays. This would have made parking for our customers and team very difficult. We're glad to say that the Council has decided not to include the road outside of our surgery in the Controlled Parking Zone. This is subject to a 6 month review from September 2010 and we would ask all our customers to park considerately so that our exemption can continue.

read moreThe welfare of our patients is and always will be our priority. We have a main surgery at 256 Cassiobury Drive for both small animals and a separate ambulatory equine/large animal clinic, as well as a popular branch Practice at Katherine Place.
About Us
read moreWe provide emergency appointments between 12 and 4pm on Saturdays and between 9.30am and 1pm on Sundays and Bank Holidays at our Cassiobury Drive Clinic. It is essential to phone the Cassiobury Surgery in cases of an emergency prior to attending during opening hours. Outside of these hours small animal cover is provided by Vets Now, a dedicated emergency service in Hemel Hempstead. We feel very fortunate to be able to provide this service, as it avoids the need to transport critically ill animals to the ‘Out of Hours' establishment.
A Guide to Pet Insurance
read morePet insurance is a good way of knowing that the costs of veterinary treatments are covered. There are a lot of options, with many different insurance companies, that may be confusing. Also, not all of the companies/products are on the comparison internet sites. There are other aspects to consider like the level of cover you take out, the excess you are required to pay on claiming and time limits on the claim starting. For example, if the level of cover was up to 6500, your pet would have insurance cover up to 6500/year and providing you renew each year, the pet would qualify for 6500 each year as necessary for the rest of his or her life, without any exclusions.
