read moreVicky Jukes and Oxford Academy of Dance will be running a four day summer course from August 17th to August 20th this summer at St. Aloysius School. The course aims to create an active and fun environment for the student to build on their confidence, maintain a sense of performance and creativity and have lots of dancing fun!. We will explore dance style through musical theatre films, create theatrical pieces with poetry and work on our PERFORMANCE skills through drama games and activities. The children will have a chance to develop their confidence and creative skill while working in a fun environment with a professional director and choreographic team.

New Contemporary Class
read moreThe new Contemporary class at Oxford Academy of Dance focuses on the basic elements of contemporary dance (such as alignment, weight, succession etc), improvisation and strengthening exercises for every muscle. The class is builds gradually starting with a warm up, short combinations in different levels, combinations across the floor, choreography and a cool down. We will work on the contemporary technique in a SAFE and FUN way but also we will learn how to listen to our own feelings, emotions, moods, fantasies and eventually how to COME CLOSER TO OURSELVES!
