After working for an independent company he decide he would like the experience to work for bigger organisation. Nigel joined the Plymouth & South Devon Co-operative Society in 1990 running the carpet department of Homemaker store at Plympton for 4 years. With his exprience of sales & estimating in place, he decided to embark in his own local business. A home interiors range service ran from an office / warehouse in stonehouse. In August 1994 Nigel Mace Interiors was began, with encouragement from Nigel's late uncle who had been in business in Plymouth for over twenty years. He began tiny from selling, estimating from his van through to the installing the products himself.
