In May 2007 Nicholas Webb Architects achieved planning permission for a 20, 000 sq m mixed use development on the former Glaxo Smith Kline site on the Mundells Welwyn Garden City on behalf of property RBT Digital Reality. Digital Reality are experts in Data Centre and technical real estate construction. The Welwyn Garden City project will be their 1st new build data centre in the UK. The development consists of 7, 200 sq m of Data Hall with associated plant space and 1, 600 sq m of office space on 3 levels.
