Community Center in Newcastle upon Tyne, Tyne and Wear The Millin Centre is a rapidly growing community centre and the hub of the Black Minority Ethnic community in Benwell. All communities are welcome regardless of faith, gender, age or race. Millin is a Punjabi/Hindi/Urdu/Bengali term, which means to come together as people. The North Benwell Black Residents Support Group (NBBRSG) was established in 1995 by a group of local residents to improve, strengthen and promote the requirements of the Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) communities living in the Benwell area, by delivering educational programmes for men, women and kids.
