Metrovets
Veterinarians in Newcastle upon Tyne, Tyne and Wear
Newcastle's latest veterinary practice, Metrovets, has opened on the seventh July 2008 in Longbenton. The practice has been set up by Neil Murdoch, who has worked in the Newcastle area, caring for residential pets for over ten years. Care will be offered for poorly pooches, fragile felines and rundown rodents! We strive to supply trusted clinical care and top level of individual service in a friendly and sympathetic practice. We understand the importance of the wellbeing of your pets and strive to make the experience of visiting the vets as pleasant a one as possible.

About Us
read moreWe advise that all dogs and cats are vaccinated. Dogs need to be vaccinated against distemper, hepatitis, parvovirus, parainfluenza and leptospirosis. This is a course of two injections, 2 weeks apart and can be started from eight weeks of age. An additional kennel cough vaccine can be given as nasal drops. Kittens need to be vaccinated against cat flu, feline enteritis and feline leukaemia. As with puppies, it is a course of two injections, but started at nine weeks and given 3 weeks apart. Vaccination is safe and painless and protects your dog or cat against a range of serious infectious diseases.
