Melton's is found in the AA Guide, the 'Which? Nice Food Guide as well as other guides including Harden's, and the Egon Ronay Guide. We've been mentioned in the BBC's Olive magazine as having The Best Home Cooking in their 'foodie traveler' section, and Will Hide of the Guardian said his beef with dauphinois potatoes.was Done to perfection. Another review was by Mark Palmer for the Daily Telegraph. Melton's was opened in 1990 by Chef Proprietor, Michael Hjort, and his wife Lucy. In 2001 they opened their bigger Cafe Bar Bistro, Melton's Too.
