For over 45 years students have come to Melton College to learn English and to live in one of Britain's most interesting cities. Melton College is close to the city but away from the crowds. We can give you the space to relax, the peace to study and the assurance of quality which comes with experience. The College arranges best quality English courses for all ages and for all levels. We currently have general English courses, adult and junior vacation courses, courses for the over 50's and courses for groups, often with special additional programmes.

About Us
read moreWe aim to help our students communicate. We do this by providing a caring environment where we know our students needs. We do this by celebrating our history, our size and our location; making the most of what we can offer. We have courses from all ages from 11 to 80+ (our oldest ever student was 86!) In addition to classroom-based lessons, we arrange a variety of social events, excursions, activities and accompanied visits to places of interest in York. Melton College and Bishop's hotel are in a carefully converted Victorian buildings with extensive private landscaped grounds, yet only a short walk from the heart of York.
