Melliss were required to design a new "futuristic looking" open decked steel and precast concrete structure, to be erected over the existing car park.

read moreMelliss have recently been appointed to provide the full structural engineering consultancy services for a new leisure centre to be constructed in Hayes, Middlesex. Included in the scheme is a 25 metre by 8 lane competition pool, a leisure/learner pool, sports hall, gym, library and a cafeteria. The refurbishment and re-modelling of the original 1930s building to create a 2000 seater auditorium around the rink, plus ancillary leisure amenities consistent with a modern facility. New pavilions to serve existing playing fields used for various sports throughout the year.

read moreMelliss have been responsible for structural engineering issues associated with the development and refurbishment of many stores for Marks & Spencer throughout the British Isles. Our association with Marks & Spencer started in the 1960s with a major development project at their Marble Arch 'flagship' store in Oxford Street. This is Marks & Spencer's premier store in London. Melliss have been involved with developments and extensions to these premises since the 1960s. The recently completed development to provide an additional sales floor at third floor level now allows trading at five levels.

read moreMelliss were appointed in January 2005 by the London Borough of Hillingdon to undertake the RIBA Stages A-C design of a new secondary school, Phase I of which had to be ready for an intake of 150 year six pupils in September 2006. We were novated after RIBA Stage C to the main contractor, Miller Construction, to complete the design. Ruislip High School has been presented with National Green Plaque in recognition of their positive contribution to the built environment. National Treasures buildings and structures have chosen the school as Green Apple Award winners for perserving our architectural heritage.
