Llandaff Laminates ltd was set up in 1968, originally as a distributor of Perstorp Decorative Laminate, imported direct from Sweden. Within a short period of time many other laminate brands were added including Warerite, Formica and Polyrey. Apart from laminate many other kinds of sheet material were brought into stock along with adhesives and accessories. Back then the Company was always looking for new products and became a distributor for Laconite, a tile effect hardboard.

As laminate became increasingly desirable, Colin spotted an opportunity to specialise in this area. This was not unnoticed and soon Llandaff Laminates became one of the first to import laminates from Perstop Decorative Laminates directly from Sweden. Continuing to carve out a niche in the world of sheet laminate, other laminate brands were added including Warerite, Formica and Polyrey.
