Since the opening in June 1996, Leonardo has gone from strength to strength, starting at fairly humble beginnings, its popularity has superseded itself and earnt it the reputation of being the finest Italian restaurant on the South coast. In December 1999, the restaurant was awarded the Best Restaurant of Brighton & Hove, voted for by the general public. The guests travel from throughout Sussex and even further a field to sample the huge range of dishes from the renowned menu including home made pasta and pizza, prepared in the Leonardo kitchen, succulent steak.
