Rachel Lee Rare Books. I specialise primarily in books on philosophy but with some economics, theology, sociology, psychology, and various related subjects. The stock comprises books from the 17th century to the twentieth century, with an emphasis on eighteenth and nineteenth century philosophy. The most of my stock is listed on this site and updated regularly; you can search the stock by author, title, date or browse by subject. read moreI have been in the antiquarian book trade since 1978, spending about 12 years in auction houses in Bristol and Swindon, and then as a director of Thoemmes Antiquarian Books/Thoemmes Press in Bristol. At the end of 1998 Herb Tandree and I bought the stock of Thoemmes Antiquarian Books when the company decided to specialise solely in publishing. I am now based in private premises in Bristol. Rachel Lee Rare Books stock concentrates on philosophy - antiquarian, rare and out-of-print - but also encompasses theology, economics, sociology, psychology and science.
