read moreMy approach to the lessons is informal, encouraging and enthusiastic. It is important to me that students feel they are progressing and enjoy their piano playing experience. Everyone is different and I shall tailor lessons to each individual student. I am very happy for parents to sit in on lessons. I think it is particularly useful in the early stages of learning, as it will help you guide and support your child whilst they are practising at home. Each spring, children and young people have an opportunity to perform at the annual EPTA piano gala.

read moreIf you are interested in taking piano exams, I can help you progress through the eight grades offered by ABRSM (Associated Board for the Royal Schools of Music) or Trinity. As a stepping stone to Grade 1, young beginners may also like to take the piano prep test or piano initial exam. I have a 100 per cent pass rate for exams, with many students achieving merits or distinctions. I normally teach theory as part of piano lessons, but can also offer separate theory lessons should you require them.
