During his time with his 1st club, Ed had several light continuous fights with both wins and draws. He began teaching when he reached his blue belt. Ed was part of Dylan's S. W. A. T. Team and trained and taught regularly. Ed followed Dylan when he moved clubs and it was there that he had his 1st amateur full contact fight at the age of 16. He fought Hashri Moto from Leicester club over three rounds. His opponent had already had quite a few fights under his belt.
