The bakery (owned by Green & Black's founders Craig Sams and Josephine Fairley) was reinvented in 2005, when we set about converting all the traditional baked goods - from jam tarts to white bloomers, sausage rolls to Madeira cakes and those pink meringue pigs (almost 200 recipes, in all) to Soil Association organic status. In addition, we introduced a fabulous range of high-quality artisan slow breads, including Country Sourdough, Wholewheat Sourdough and 100% Rye Bread.
