Jonesco was set up in 1967 to manufacture steel mudguards for commercial vehicles. In the mid 1970s the Company started to manufacture plastic mudguards to complement those made from steel. Whilst continuing to manufacture mudguards from steel, the plastic mudguard has rapidly earned prominence in most markets and now accounts for 97% of mudguard sales. The Company has grown continually and in December 1989 moved to a purpose-built 4-acre (16. 200m2) site with space for further development and production.
