The calling was needed as most of our guests weren't scottish and didn't know the dances.

read moreThey were truly AWESOME! Everyone commented on how fabulous they were. We had a lot of non-ceilidh dancers, and they called the dances and got everyone on their feet and joining in. Even those who couldn't join in the dancing had a great time watching everyone give it a go-the atmosphere they created was fantastic! Talented musicians, skilled dance callers, and amusing raconteurs, I would recommend booking them if you are looking for a fun evening. Many of our guests have commented on how much they enjoyed dancing at the ceilidh - including some in their seventies and eighties! Charlie was prompt and professional in all contact I had with him, and a very pleasant gent to deal with. I cannot recommend the Iron Broo Ceilidh Band highly enough!

read moreWe hired the 3 piece ceilidh ban along with the disco. Charlie and his crew were fantastic on the night and really helped us enjoy our wedding reception along with our guests. Charlie explained all the dances for those who needed help and guidance which was really good. And were good to accept all requests for the dances and even had a family member up to sing during the disco. I can thoroughly recommend them for any occasion big or small.

I had them as a 2 piece band and they commanded the audience (some 120 people) with absolute ease. Their dance calling brought foreign newcomers into the fray and dancing like they'd known it all their lives. Their Romany style twists on traditional Scottish dances made for a changing and upbeat atmosphere which kept the evening fresh.
Would, will, and already have recommended Iron Broo to others!
