Set up in 1970 by the Gornall family, Honeywell's has expanded from strength to strength, but ever remaining the traditional family business that we currently have always been with over ten family members still highly involved in all kinds of the business. The Honeywell's you know today came from very humble beginnings, selling our hand reared pork from a stall in the garage! As we grew in popularity Honeywell's moved from the garage to the barn where we set up Honeywell's, one of the original Farm shops.

read moreOur first foray into business was selling home-reared pork from a stall in our garage. While it seems a million miles from the purpose-built farm shop and food halls that we call home today, not much has really changed. Here's how we've grown our family business - there are now 10 of us involved - without compromising our belief that high-quality, locally-sourced food is the best investment our customers can make. We began selling home-reared pork from our garage. As customer demand grew, we (the Gornalls) began to offer meat and local produce from neighbouring farms, including lamb from the Thornton family, which we still stock today.
