Hickleton Golf Club is situated in open countryside in the middle of South Yorkshire between the towns of Doncaster and Barnsley. The original 9-hole course was established in 1909 with the current 18-hole layout opening in 1976, which was designed by the Ryder Cup players Neil Coles, Brian Huggett and Mr. Dyer. Since 1976 the course has grown into one of the best and challenging courses in the South Yorkshire region. The course is an undulating parkland course with tree-lined fairways and fantastic panoramic views over South Yorkshire and the eastern Pennines.
