Haydon House Hotel
Accommodation & Lodging in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire
Located on the high ground much favoured by wealthy Victorian potters and industrialists, Haydon House Hotel stands sentry over the district of Etruria in Stoke-on-Trent, which for 200 years housed the workforce of Josiah Wedgwood's famous pottery. Originally built in 1880 by local industrialist Mr Cowlishaw, for himself and his two sisters, Temple House as it was then known had all the elegance of the Victorian Era and boasted nine bedrooms, servants' quarters, stables, an extensive garden, tennis courts and its very own ghost.
