Tyne & Wear Archives & Museums is a main regional museum, art gallery and archives service. Tyne & Wear Archives & Museums manages a selection of 12 museums and galleries across Tyne and Wear, supported by the five local authorities of the area. Our goal is to assist people determine their place in the world and define their identities, so enhancing their self-respect and their respect for others. Tyne & Wear Museums has now merged with Tyne & Wear Archives to build a joint service.
