Global Packaging was set up in 1979 in Preston, Lancashire, operating from a rented 3, 500 square foot warehouse employing a total of 5 team. In 1983, the number of team employed had risen to 8 and the firm moved to bigger premises of 7, 000 square feet on the Walton Summit Industrial Estate. As the firm continued to expand so did the need for additional storage and operating space and between 1988 and 1991 the firm purchased and successfully relocated to a 12, 500 square foot warehouse and office facility to supply the catalyst for further expansion.
