Ferry House Inn
Restaurant in Plymouth, Devon
The Ferry house inn is a traditional old public house situated on the very edge of the Devon/Cornwall boarder separated by the spectacular river Tamar. The Inn itself was once the main departure and arrival point for travellers using the old Ferry from Plymouth to Saltash in Cornwall. The old ferry ran several times a day for many years until the new road bridge was founded in 1961. Whilst the ferry itself ceased operating the Inn still enjoyed a thriving trade with locals and travellers alike from both sides of the river. Nowadays however the Inn has become something of a venue pub surviving in its own right as a spectacular location.
